RE: Holmes County Ohio

Evergreen RV Resort if you want a really nice place to stay with all the amenities. It's a little North of most of the attractions but we find the drive enjoyable. Scenic Hills if you want a decent place to park and don't expect a lot of amenities. It is still a decent little campground and you can't beat the location and price. We don't spend much time at the campground when we visit anyway. We go at least twice a year and switch between the two. Enjoy the area.

RE: Any Cigar smokers??

Camping is one of the few times I can enjoy a good cigar. Bought a small travel humidor so they are never far.

RE: Update, new one Is this a good deal?

I think if the words "then it's worth" were added to the end of the add it would be accurate.

RE: I'm proud of Wal-Mart employees

Common decency, like common sense, isn't really quite as common as we might wish. How true!

RE: Grand Haven Resturants

Thanks for all the reply's. I found several web sites for the suggestions and all of them sound/look good. We have been wanting to make it to Grand Haven for a couple of years and can't wait to get there. Thanks again.

Grand Haven Resturants

OK. Wife and I ONLY have four day trip to Grand Haven Michigan next week. I haven't ever been led astray from suggestions in the past so coming to the well again. Looking for good coffee shops and nice restaurant suggestions within walking/biking distance of the State Park. Thanks

RE: LEO's and police chases????????

Our department allows pursuits for felonies and some misdemeanors with close supervision from a non-involved supervisor. We only allow two vehicles in a pursuit unless other circumstances warrant otherwise such as multiple armed subjects. The initiating officer is given the discretion to continue the pursuit and we teach them how to continually way out the need for apprehension vs the danger to themselves and others. Being involved in a pursuit is a huge and stressful responsibility and the officers must evaluate their ever changing environment constantly. Even though the pursuit may be justified, in Indiana it still does not relieve the officer from operating with due regard for the safety of others. If a crash occurs and it is found the officer was not operating with due regard then he could be held liable in a civil action. However, if the officer was still operating within the existing pursuit policy of the department, the liability would shift to the department and not the officer. A lot of the time it comes down to training. A pursuit is a use of force and officers must be trained in it just like firearms and defensive tactics. To not do so, opens the department up to huge liability.

RE: Good bye, Indiana Beach

I gave up on the place four years ago.

RE: Michigan 131 or 127

Thanks Bonscott....lots of good info. Your close golfnut, were coming from Ft. Wayne so 69 is the first "big" road I'll be on. Mapquest told me 69 to 94 and then over to 131. I didn't like the way 69 took me farther to the East either so that was the reason for the post. Mid week we will be coming back down to Pentwater area so we will take 31 at that time. Thanks for all the info! I see 37 also runs up that way from Grand Rapids...whats that like?

RE: Michigan 131 or 127

I considered 31 but wondered if it would be slow going North of Ludington with it only being two lane? I think I need to adjust my sights....I meant to post in Roads and Routes.

Michigan 131 or 127

Traveling from Northern IN up to Traverse City this Sat. I am familiar with 127 while traveling to Mackinaw however for Traverse City 131 looks to be a bit more direct. Is it a good road as far as condition? Haven't checked for current construction but interested in that as well. Thanks.

RE: BRISTOL MOTOR SPEEDWAY AND GOLF CART

Don't forget batteries for the camera so that you can post pictures when completed. Sounds nice!

RE: Clicking noise

All the hardware underneath is tight and I have been using a lube plate until last week when it got loose, fell off while parked and blew away. The noise was there prior and no difference without it. When you say the pin that goes into the jaws are you speaking about the arm that you pull to release the jaws? Truck and hitch isn't here right now so I will look at that when DW gets home. Thanks for the suggestions.

Clicking noise

I have Reese 16k hitch that was new in 05. When I make a turn I hear a loud "clicking" noise. It seems to do it more as I start to straighten out. On a 90 degree turn it may do it randomly three or fours times. Nothing seems to be catching or hanging up and it doesn't seem to be causing any problems other than starting to bug me. Everything is greased well and an inspection doesn't reveal any abnormal wear points. Any ideas?

RE: Indiana Residents - Personal Property Tax Bill

I was told by rep in this area that they would be mailed in August. Also for what it's worth she told me that this will be the last year they will be mailed. They are going to start collecting when you renew your plates. As if the BMV needs one more thing to screw up!

RE: Brown County Indiana fall leaf color change...

It sure won't be this weekend but we leave for there tomorrow. It's one of my favorite SP's.

RE: TrailAir

You would probably find that your stated hitch weight is more then 500lbs especially after loaded. The trail-air is adjustable (more or less air) and in my opinion is a good product. I think it will definitely do some good with the ride and worth the effort.

RE: Inn The Woods campground, Hocking Hills Ohio

It's on 33 just West of Nelsonville. Small little campground that would be a bit difficult to navigate with any decent size rig. We ride dirt bikes and tent camp when we do and this place works out great for us. You can access the Wayne National Forest off road (bikes and four wheelers) trail right from their campground. Otherwise I would pass it up.
